The Desire of Heaven

In a season or new year people tend to get goals or have new year resolutions. The is nothing wrong with this apart from the fact that they rarely get to accomplish it and if they do they are like...."is this it?!"

Today I would like you to have a mental paradigm shift and realise that every goals you set should have a solid foundation. A foundation deeply embedded in one thing....PURPOSE!!!

In other words, what is the WHY behind the goal your setting. If your why or purpose isn't solidly established then I dear say that it would be a waste of time.

Now you need to realise that Heaven has only one desire.....to established itself here on Earth. And guess who is standing in it's way...YOU!!!

When I say Earth I mean; your marriage.....your business....your career....your health....in different sectors and industries.

So you need to ask yourself this: are you going to take the Purpose (Why) upon which your existence was establish here on earth and have your name written amongst the great (the Wright Brothers, the Thomas Edisons, the Martin Luther King, the Mahatma Gandhis who had a slice of Heaven and did all they can to establish it) or live a mediocre life and die along side the un-achievers. The choice is yours!

Myles Munroe (bless his soul) said: the wealthiest place on the planet isn't the Diamond Mines of South Africa or the Oil Field of Iran or the World Bank...but the wealthiest place on the planet is the cemetery. The cemetery is filled with ideas that were never established, companies that were never built, best selling books that were never written. It's filled with untapped potential.

Listen; God's gift to you is potential but your gift back to Him is actualising this potential.

I don't know about you but I want to fulfil purpose. John Maxwell said..."I rather pursue my purpose and not achieve it than not pursuing it at all"...WHY..because it's in the pursuit that you BECOME and not in the achievement. In other words, true success is in the process and not the outcome.

So have goals but let it be on the foundation of your purpose!

WRITING GOALS

Having goals is good...it makes you focused and gives you perspective but you need to write them in REVERSE.

What do I mean by this? You need to establish the purpose then you would have the vision and your goals can now be actualised.

PURPOSE----------VISION----------GOAL

Purpose: This is the WHY or reason behind what you do or what you should be doing. This doesn't just inform the decisions you make but governs how you make them.

It defines your values or value systems. It's the foundation from whence your expression on this earth should arise.

My coach said something powerful. He said a lion, despite how powerful it is, would hardly succeed in catching one rabbit if it's chasing two. In other words you have one purpose (which could have different branches) and you have a higher chance in fulfilling it by focusing on "the one thing".

It's important to note that you wouldn't grasp everything at a go but it a gradual process and as you move your understanding would deepen.

Vision: After you have established the purpose then you are now licensed and/or authorised to have a vision or a picture of the desired place in your mind.

In most cases it wouldn't be clear. It would get clearer as you go.

As opposed to purpose that is the WHY...vision is the WHERE. So you ask yourself...with the purpose I have what picture should I allow my mind to create? It's important to note that your mind is powerfully endowed not only to create whatever picture you want (however big it maybe) but to attract the needed forces to bring that abstract vision into tangible fruition.

As a man Thinketh so is he!

Goal: Now you are on your way. You know why you are here or your purpose (you don't have to have the full understanding because it deepens as yo go) and you also have a clear picture or vision; you can now write your goals.

Be careful though because the mistake most people make is that their goals are things within their know ability and capacity. Listen, if your goal are things that doesn't stretch you or require you to step out of your comfort zone then it's a waste.

We all know SMART.

Specific

Measurable

Achievable

Realistic

Time bound

Now; your goal should be specific, measurable and time bound but, within context, I dear to differ about it being achievable and realistic. Because if it is achievable and realistic it wouldn't necessary make you stretch yourself to discover how unlimited your potential is.

Think about it! Did the Wright Brother set an achievable or realistic goal when they determined to create an object made of mental to defile the Law of Gravity. Bearing in mind that before that time no one had created this. Meaning that the was no reference to what they were doing.

Or was it realistic for Thomas Edison to set an achievable goal to create an incandescent light bulb.

My point is this: In other for heaven to express itself through you you have to be ready to think out of the box....be ready to have heavenly mind set. This would mean that what you want to achieve would seem unrealistic and unachievable. But if you pursue this persistently onto fruition you would revolutionise the industry you are establish in.

So....

My question to you reader is this: are you ready to be an Ambassador of Heaven...are you ready to represent Heaven here on earth. Your answer would determine if you qualify to have unlimited resource at your disposal.

Trust me when I say...heaven has everything you need to accomplish the impossible..and I mean everything; all you need to do is say YES to Heaven.
